So next we look at Eddie's match against Rey Mysterio for the custody of Dominik in a ladder match at Summerslam 2005.
Season 4 Episode Seven
Ladder Match Eddie Guerrero vs. Rey Mysterio Summerslam • August 25, 2005
Ah, yes, the famous ‘I'm your Papi’ Storyline, and my god they would never get anything this personal in today’s wrestling. But it was a fantastic match up and I was on the edge of my seat the whole time, and the crowd were so up for Rey to win and Eddie's to lose (Great stuff).
And when Eddie was climbing that ladder, you didn’t want him to get that contract, but this match was tense. But it was a bit messy at times, with some botches, then Eddie hitting that powerbomb off the ladder etc.
It's weird looking at Dominick looking so young getting involved, and Vikki looks so different and costing Eddie the match worked because even his family think this is wrong. But it wasn’t perfect and was a bit over the top at times, but very enjoyable and it's was worth a rewatch.
Verdict: 8 out of 10
