JSPL Prediction Game

How the Prediction Game Works:

It's a prediction game that happens at every WWE and NXT PPV. Points are awarded for correctly predicting the outcome of each contest on the PPV card. The points are awarded as follows.
1a) Singles contests:

1 point = The victorious competitor.
1 point = The method of the victory (Pinfall, Submission, DQ, Count Out, KO.)
e.g. Winner: Brock Lesnar, by: Pinfall.
1b) Multiple Competitor Contest Points:
If the contest includes more than two competitors and no teams (e.g. Triple Threat, Fatal Four Way), additional points are awarded as follows:
1 point = Predicting the Competitor who is pinned, KO’d or submits.

E.g. Dean Ambrose vs Roman Reigns vs Seth Rollins, Winner: Dean Ambrose, by: Pinfall on: Seth Rollins.

1c) Team Contest Points:
In team contests (Tag Team, Tornado), including the criteria above, additional points are awards as follows:
1 point = Predicting the Team Member to score the Pinfall, Submission etc).

E.g. The New Day vs The Usos, Winners: The New Day, by Pinfall on Jey Uso, Pinned by Xavier Woods.
1d) Bonus Points:

If all the criteria are correctly predicted for each individual contest, bonus points are awarded as follows.
1 point = Correctly predicting everything under 1a). Total of 3 points.
2 points = Correctly predicting everything under 1b). Total of 5 points.
3 points = If all the criteria for points in 1c) contests are correctly predicted, then a bonus 3 points will be awarded. This will also be known as scoring a ‘Trent’. 4 + 3 = 7. A ‘Trent Seven’.
+10 points = A ‘Tye Breaker’. For every PPV, each podcast will be given an option to play their ‘Tye Breaker’ for one contest on the card.
To be awarded the 10 points, they must predict all of the criteria under 1a), 1b) or 1c) depending on the contest.
Even though all the scoring criteria of that contest is correctly predicted, no more than the 10 points will be rewarded in total.
-10 points = If a ‘Tye Breaker’ is played and all scoring criteria for that contest is not all correctly predicted. The 10 points will be deducted instead. No more than 10 points will be deducted, regardless.

1e) Bonus Points continued:
MITB Cash In = Each podcast will have the option to predict a Money in the Bank cash in every round. They can also predict whether the competitor will fail to or successfully cash in their contract.
To be classed as Successful, the briefcase holder must win the Title by Pinfall or Submission, though not necessarily walk out with the Title.
A Failure is defined as if the competitor is pinned, submits or the cash in ends in a DQ, Count Out, No contest etc.
If the prediction is correct, regardless if it’s a Pinfall or Submission, the podcast will double their points they have earned so far in the round.
e.g. If the cash in occurs after the third contest of the night, only points earned from the previous three matches will be doubled.
However, if the prediction is incorrect, also regardless of method, the podcast will lose all their points they earnt so far in that round.
Notes:
-
In the result of a ‘no contest’ or a draw, no points will be awarded, unless predicted. However, points will be deducted as usual if a ‘Tye Breaker’ is played.
-
If a ‘Tye Breaker’ is not played, it’s points do not carry over to the next PPV, the value of 10 points remains the same.
-
Gimmick matches – points will be clarified for each PPV if any contest cannot be or isn’t won by Pinfall, Submission, DQ, Count Out or KO. (e.g. Cage, Ladder, Punjabi Prison, Flag.)
-
The traditional Survivor Series team elimination contests will have their own scoring criteria. This will be clarified in the build up to Survivor Series.
-
If the podcast opts to predict contests under 1c) to end in DQ or Count Out, the criteria for 1a) applies, though a ‘Trent’ will still be awarded.
