So next we look at his match with Dean Malenko at the ECW Hostile City Showdown in 1995 for the ECW Television Championship.
Season 4 Episode Six
ECW Television Championship Match Eddie Guerrero vs. Dean Malenko ECW Hostile City Showdown • April 15, 1995
Underbeliveable match up here, it was 20 minutes of both men putting on a wrestling clinic. The pace was perfect and the way that they up the movesets the longer the match went on from surfboard to underhook powerbomb it was amazing and is a great template for how a wrestling match should be. But before you knew it the match was over and it was a draw (Very Rare these day haha)
This proves how good of a wrestler Eddie was and how underrated Dean Malenko is and he does get the credit he deserves. These two worked so well together and I may have to watch more of his matches. But definitely worth checking out if you want an example of what good pure wrestling looks like.
Verdict: 8 out of 10
