So next we look at the ladder match he had with Rob Van Dam for the Intercontinental Title on May 25th Edition of Monday Night RAW.
Season 4 Episode Five
Ladder Match of the WWE Intercontinental Championship Eddie Guerrero vs. Rob Van Dam RAW • May 27 2002
I don’t really know what I can say about this match, I enjoyed every minute of it, and their style of wrestler really worked and loved the unique use of a ladder, I mean I think Rob Van Dam was designed for matches like these and with this being one of Eddie’s first matches back after being fired a year earlier.
Some of the spots in this match were insane, like Eddie doing a sunset powerbomb on RVD off the ladder, that Moonsalt by RVD on Eddie with the ladder on top etc. I love that they only used one ladder through the whole match as it added to the danger in my opinion and was great to see.
It was funny that a member of the crowd pulled Eddie off the ladder (stupid idiot haha) ruined the original finish and it did feel off. But it was an amazing match up and made both men look great and if you want a crazy ladder match you should check this out.
Verdict: 8 out of 10
