This is a great time to be a pro wrestling fan, with basically having wrestling 5 days a week. From RAW on Mondays, Impact Wrestling on Tuesday, AEW Dynamite & NXT on Wednesday, NXT UK on Thursday, and Smackdown on Friday, and that shows we know off.

WIth NJPW having a weekly slot now, and up and coming promotions like MLW getting TV time, it so hard to kept track of it all. So with this new blog series, I'm going to catch up with Ten matches I'll be told to check out or I'll really want to watch just couldn't find the time in the last month.

(So every Monday at 1 pm (UK Time) these reviews will be up)

Next, I look at the NXT UK championship matchup when WALTER faced off against the NXT UK Heritage Cup Holder A-Kid on the 14th January 2021 edition of NXT UK.

Singles Match for the NXT UK Championship. WALTER vs. A-Kid NXT UK • 14th January 2021

So to end this trifecta of reviewing NXT UK matches, it feels fitting that we end with a WALTER match. Which is always hard-hitting, and most of the time is the match of the night, and this match was no different.

So going in, I knew very little of A-Kid's work, with only the knowledge that he was the NXT UK Heritage Cup holder, and that he has put on some amazing matches with Tyer Bate, which tells you a lot of his ability as a wrestler.

And early on, he was using his MMA ability and fast pace, to really get at WALTER, with vicious kicks to his leg and arm. This really pissed WALTER off, and A-Kid speed really giving him the ability to evade, even hitting a lovely springboard dropkick on WALTER's leg.

But when WALTER finally got his hands on A-Kid he was in real trouble, with a sickening sounding chop on A-Kid's chest and neck. Which I wouldn’t want to take in a million years haha, as well as as a big boot to A-Kid's face.

But A-Kid got back into it, and started working on WALTER's arm and leg again, and it looked like WALTER was going to tap, when A-Kid locked in a cool-looking submission hold on WALTER's arm.

Nevertheless, the match ended in a brutal fashion, with a powerbomb on the apron by WALTER on A-Kid, which when to a cool exchange of strikes by both men, with A-Kid hitting an awesome-looking overhead kick to WALTER's face.

But it wasn’t enough, with two huge clotheslines to A-Kid from WALTER to pick up the win. So I don’t think I have seen a bad WALTER match ever haha, this was outstanding, with pacing on point, A-Kid looking like a threat, and WALTER was as lethal as ever.

Once again, having seen what A-Kid can do, I think I have become a fan, and have to watch some of these Heritage Cup matches because this guy is great. But if you wondering why people hype up WALTER so much, then check out this match, as it is well worth your time.

Verdict: 9 out of 10
