This is a great time to be a pro wrestling fan, with basically having wrestling 5 days a week. From RAW on Mondays, Impact Wrestling on Tuesday, AEW Dynamite & NXT on Wednesday, NXT UK on Thursday, and Smackdown on Friday, and that shows we know off.
WIth NJPW having a weekly slot now, and up and coming promotions like MLW getting TV time, it so hard to kept track of it all. So with this new blog series, I'm going to catch up with Ten matches I'll be told to check out or I'll really want to watch just couldn't find the time in the last month.
(So every Monday at 1 pm (UK Time) these reviews will be up)
Next, I look at Kay Lee Ray's first title defends in 2021, when she faces off against the debuting Meiko Satomura on the 4th March 2021 edition of NXT UK.
Singles Match for the NXT UK Women's Championship. Kay Lee Ray vs. Meiko Satomura NXT UK • 4th March 2021

My knowledge of NXT UK isn’t the best (for a UK fan that is terrible haha), so was going into this match completely blind. But bloody hell, what a good match this was. Also with this being Meiko Satomura's debut, there was a lot to live up to, and In my opinion, this match delivered.
It started off as a technical affair, with both women working on body parts with Meiko Satomura working on Kay Ray's leg, and Kay Rey working on Meiko Satomura's arm, with it being hard-hitting and action-packed throughout.
There were moves like a draping DDT by Kay Ray on the outside, an Death Valley Driver on the apron by Maiko, not one by two Koji clutch by Kay Ray, and a Gory bomb as well. But both women couldn’t put each other away and even a flog splash by Meiko didn't work, as Kay Ray put her knees up for the counter.
But the match ended with another gory bomb by Kay Ray, on her injured leg to pick up the victory. Overall, an excellent piece of women's wrestling, and the more I watch NXT UK, the more I become a fan. Both Kay Ray Lee and Maiko Satomura were great here, and I hope these two face off again. But it a really good match, and a good starting point if you want to get into NXT UK.
Verdict: 8 out of 10
